WebJan 7, 2024 · Well this is simply DUST. What accumulates on baseboards behind large pieces of furniture. It never crossed my mind that I would have to pull out all the furniture in those 3 rooms and clean, before having the trim painted. I did that as part of MY painting when I did the rest of the house. It was just part of the process. Clean/sand/prime/paint. WebAdd a quarter of a cup of trisodium phosphate to a bucket with a gallon of hot water and apply the solution to the wall with a sponge. Fill up a second bucket with hot water for removing the cleaner from the surface. Remove any loose paint from your walls before you clean the surface, too. Use a putty knife or plastic scraper to do this properly.
